About Us
Kailua Pentecostal Holiness Church is the Pacific edge of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Formerly known as His Highest Praise Kailua, the current pastors began their ministry at the church fellowship in 1995.
Pastors Rudy and Yvonne Lopez graduated from Holmes Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina in 1989 and 1990, respectively, and spent the following two years in ministry in Greenville and Fountain Inn. Upon arriving "back home" in Hawaii, Pastor Yvonne immediately began ministry as a schoolteacher at a private Christian school, while Pastor Rudy took over the comptroller's duties there. He began teaching as well in 1994, and both were assigned to the high school division.
Prior to ministry, the pastors have had extensive backgrounds in business, with Pastor Yvonne working as an office manager for two medical firms, spanning 16 years, and Pastor Rudy being a banker for that length of time as well. They met in 1967 in the town of Hilo, Hawaii, married in 1969, have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Kailua PHC fully believes in the freedom of praise and worship, as evidenced in our Sunday morning services. Contemporary Christian music and hymns fill the sanctuary, and the Lord is enthusiastically invited in the power of the Holy Spirit! You are invited to celebrate!
